On the street, to “re-up” means to resupply a street intersection with more drugs for the dealers. After Michael Kaisaris threw his name into a lottery for one of Vancouver’s first street food licenses (and surprisingly won it), the Re-Up BBQ food cart has tirelessly supplied the street corners of Vancouver’s downtown financial district with addictive pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches.
Since those humble beginnings, the team has expanded their operations to include a small, counter service restaurant and commissary in New Westminster’s River Market. They are also one of a very few companies in Vancouver to offer real, Southern BBQ catering for events and weddings, and they have recently started to offer a small selection of smoked and cured meats to take home for your own fridge.
The Re-Up BBQ crew has a lot of things on the go, so sit back, relax and peruse the website to see what they’re up to now.
